Changing a couple of dark shady rooms into a larger area with increased natural light was a key requirement at this refurbishment.
By just removing a wall and one chimney breast in the dining room and extending into a storage area on the side of the house, this small 1.4 metre extension and a large skylight means that light floods into the new space.
Installation of bespoke bookcases on two walls has accommodated the large book collection and the client is now able to enjoy their passions for reading and playing the piano. Imaginative design and the clever use of space have created an effective light filled room.
On the first floor, the master bedroom was refurbished with the removal of the wardrobes on either side of the chimney breast and they were replaced with shelving. New bespoke wardrobes were repositioned to make a better use of the space. The en-suite bathroom was completely renovated.
“I can recommend Kisiel Group as their customer service throughout the project has been excellent. My new extension has more than met my expectations as even on a dull day there is so much natural light flooding into the area above the piano through the new roof-light. I am now in a position to thoroughly enjoy playing my piano at every opportunity.“
