Kisiel Group Charity of the Year 2017

Can you help us to give a homeless person a chance to stop sleeping rough?

Kisiel Group Charity of the Year 2017 is a London based charity ‘The West London Day Centre’ (registered charity no 1133739).

We wanted to support this charity as it is transforming the lives of homeless people in Central London providing both short term relief and long term solutions.

When one thinks of homelessness and sleeping rough it is easy to think that it is caused by drugs or alcohol. But in fact there are many reasons for homelessness such as:

  • Losing a job and being unable to pay a mortgage or rent
  • Family and relationship breakdown
  • Domestic violence
  • Lack of affordable housing
  • Unemployment
  • Mental health issues.

The West London Day Centre’s short term relief means providing basic services such a hot breakfast, somewhere to have a shower and wash clothes, as well as access to medical services.

But, they also provide long term assistance which gives advice, finds accommodation and looks to help the person back into work. To provide this long term solution it costs £150 for each homeless person.

Our aim is to help 10 homeless people to find accommodation. Our target is to raise £1500.
