Invited on to the CITB Levy Working Party

Annie Summun is to represent the views of members of the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) on the new Levy Working Party.

As General Manager of Kisiel Group, Annie has always has a passion for people developing their skills throughout their working lives and sees continuous professional development as key to an adaptable workforce which creates the right skill set for the future.  She is also keen to see young people obtaining the skills they need to develop a career within the construction industry.

This Levy Working Party is an advisory group established to help shape thinking and develop recommendations to present to the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Management Board in preparation for the consensus process.

The CITB Levy Working Party has been set up to look at a number of issues:

  • to examine issues arising from current Levy Order
  • assess the implications of the introduction of the new Apprenticeship Levy
  • look at new ways to apply the Levy Order in a fair manner across all stakeholders
  • speak with stakeholders to gain their views for consideration in the discussions for the future Levy Order
